Coach Kelvin Kaindu is optimistic that the team will start the second round of the league on a high note.

“Preparations have been going on well and we are ready for the resumption of the second round.

We play Chambishi tomorrow and it is definitely going to be a good game. We are playing a team that has a good record, we just need to be focused and approach them with a bit of caution.”

Kaindu notes that Zanaco has been doing well in the last 10 games.

“We were positive in the last 10 games but we don’t want to focus on what we did in the first round. The second round starts tomorrow and this is where the league is determined. It is not going to be easy but we are ready for the fight.”

He adds that the race is to win the title is on.

“We missed out on ABSA Cup, our focus now is on the title and CAF slots. It makes it more difficult for teams now that there are only two slots available and everyone is aiming for that.”

He further adds that the team will try to make about one or two reinforcements to the squad, especially in the striking department.

Zanaco hosts Chambishi Football Club tomorrow in an early kick-off at 13:00 hours at Heroes Stadium in a Week 18 fixture of the MTN Super League.
