WADA TARGETS FIRST AWAY WIN AGAINST FC MUZA

Zanaco FC head coach, Wedson Nyirenda says that his team will be aiming for a win as they take on FC Muza at Nakambala stadium in Mazabuka this afternoon.

Nyirenda admits his team need to win as he has never won away from home since his arrival at Zanaco, though a draw will still be enough to keep the Bankers in the FAZ/MTN Super League next season.

"We need to get a win outside Lusaka, ever since I came we’ve never taken maximum points. We went to Zesco, we lost 3-2, but it was a good game, we went to Kabwe we drew 0-0."

"This time I think we need to get the maximum points because we need them more than they do, they also need them for them to cement their position in CAF, but I think we need them most because we need them to be safe." Nyirenda said

Nyirenda also that his team was in a high mood and ready to collect maximum points away from home.

"The team is highly motivated in camp now, every player knows what is at stake. We know we’re playing a rejuvenated team which has been on fire in many games, for a team that came from a lower division to be on a second position now, it means something great is happening within themselves and their camp. We cannot rule out that the coaches are not doing a good job and the administration are also doing something good." He said

"I think we’re not playing a push over team, therefore we need to put our acts together, apply ourselves according to what we’re doing, I think we can carry the day." He added.

With Buildcon and Chambishi already relegated, the relegation battle mainly remains with Nchanga Nkwazi and Lumwana, with Zanaco almost in the safe Zone after Buildcon win at Sunset that took them to 41 points.

Zanaco only needs a point from today’s match to survive relegation, but any drop in points by Nkwazi will guarantee the Banker’s stay in the Super League

With two more rounds of matches to play, Nchanga Rangers are on 36 points, Nkwazi 35 points and Lumwana 33 points.
