Zanaco Ladies Head Coach, Florence Mwila says the team is settling in well in the Super Division .
“We are settling in well with the the three games that we’ve played so far. Most of the girls are participating in a such a big competition for the first time and are playing against big teams that have experience.”
Zanaco Ladies won promotion to the FAZ Womens’ Super Division early this year when they were crowned champions of the 2021/2022 FAZ Womens’ League Lusaka Province. This is there first time participating in the Super Division.
Coach Mwila says with the three games that have been played so far has shown what needs to be worked on.
“There are a few areas we need to work on going forward and these have been observed in the past three games.”
She also adds on that the team is doing very well and ready to compete and remain in the league.
“We have a crop of young girls who are very confident and determined to fight till the last whistle.I think we have sent a message to the other teams in the league.”
Zanaco Ladies first match of the season was against the defending Champions Green Buffaloes Women FC where they lost 3-0,second match was against Lusaka Dynamos which they drew with 1-1 and the third one was against Prison Leopards whom they beat 1-0 at Sunset Stadium.
Their next fixture is against Zesco United Women slated for 29th October in Ndola.
