The second round of the MTN Zambia Super League 2022/2023 season started on 7th January.

The Bankers were up against Chambishi FC in an early kick-off at National Heroes Stadium in a Week 18 fixture that Zanaco won 2-0.

In second half, The Bankers continued dominating until in the 54th minute when Abraham Siankombo found the back of the net to put Zanaco in the lead.

Three minutes later, Siankombo again scored a clear goal but referee Tryson Mwape disallowed it for a handball.

In the 78th minute, Siankombo was brought down in the box and Zanaco won a penalty.

Charles Zulu stepped up to take it and he converted.

Meanwhile, on the same day, our feeder team Young Zanaco was also in action at Sunset Stadium as they hosted ZAMMSA in a Week 19 fixture of the FAZ Division One Lusaka Province fixture.

That match ended in a goalless draw.

On Sunday, Zanaco Ladies were also in action against YASA Queens and it also ended in a goalless draw.
